چکیده

FIG3. High quality MR angiograms were possible using an arterial phase (typically the first timeframe) of the IVD time-series, in all patients. On this MIP, note the clear delineation of a variant of the trifurcation of the common hepatic artery into right hepatic artery (arrow), left hepatic artery (filled arrowhead) and gastroduodenal artery (*). Also clearly depicted is the variant of two left renal arteries (hollow arrowhead). Interleaved Variable Density Sampling with ARC Parallel Imaging and Cartesian HYPR for Dynamic MR Angiography

INTRODUCTION For MR applications such as contrast-enhanced MR angiography (CE-MRA), it is desirable to simultaneously achieve high spatial and temporal resolutions; however fully-sampled Cartesian acquisition of large matrices is time consuming. View sharing combined with parallel imaging (PI) improves temporal resolution [1], as does incoherent under-sampling with compressed sensing (CS) [2] o...

Automatic Prostate Cancer Segmentation Using Kinetic Analysis in Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced MRI

Background: Dynamic contrast enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) provides functional information on the microcirculation in tissues by analyzing the enhancement kinetics which can be used as biomarkers for prostate lesions detection and characterization. Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate spatiotemporal patterns of tumors by extracting semi-quantitative as well as w...

Differential Subsampling with Cartesian Ordering (DISCO): a novel k-space ordering scheme for dynamic MRI

Purpose: Dynamic contrast enhanced MRI (DCEMRI) and MR angiography (MRA) are both beset by the conflicting requirements of spatial and temporal resolution. Various schemes have been proposed and evaluated for high spatio-temporal resolution MR imaging [1-4]. They all incorporate combinations of partial Fourier imaging, sub-sampling, view sharing and parallel imaging to effect acceleration. The ...

Effect of Bias in Contrast Agent Concentration Measurement on Estimated Pharmacokinetic Parameters in Brain Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging Studies

Introduction: Pharmacokinetic (PK) modeling of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) is widely applied in tumor diagnosis and treatment evaluation. Precision analysis of the estimated PK parameters is essential when they are used as a measure for therapy evaluation or treatment planning. In this study, the accuracy of PK parameters in brain DCE...

Dynamic Contrast Magnetic Resonance Imaging (DCE-MRI) and Diffusion Weighted MR Imaging (DWI) for Differentiation between Benign and Malignant Salivary Gland Tumors

Background: Salivary gland tumors form nearly 3% of head and neck tumors. Due to their large histological variety and vicinity to facial nerves, pre-operative diagnosis and differentiation of benign and malignant parotid tumors are a major challenge for radiologists. Objective: The majority of these tumors are benign; however, sometimes they tend to transform into a malignant form. Functional M...
